Balance Hair Spa is immediately looking for a Hair Stylist / Colorist with an established client base to provide outstanding hair services. This is a full-time position.

WE ARE OFFERING A SIGNING BONUS OF $2,000 AND UP!

• Provides an extensive consultation before appointments to analyze the health, structure and strength of clients’ hair. Analyzes face shape and other physical features to determine and recommend hair color and styles. Listens attentively to clients’ wants, needs and instructions.
• Provides outstanding hair color knowledge and application techniques.
• Develops and provides new artistic hair styles and cutting techniques.
• Provides clients with full service through chair education, including recommended treatments, styling instructions and at-home care.
• 100% use of prescription pad.
• Updates and maintains customer information records, such as services provided.
• Maintains and increases knowledge of Paul Mitchell® the color®, Wella, Alterna and mop® modern organic products lines and hair treatments by attending new product promotions, in-house instruction and any education/training classes.
• Demonstrates and sells retail hair care products.
• Schedules client appointments and operates computer/register to receive payments from clients as needed.
• Assists Balance Hair Spa in activities including staff meetings, promotions, clean-up and housekeeping duties.
• Maintains the salon in a neat professional manner including stocking products and linens, cleaning and instrument sterilization.
• Performs washing and folding of all linens used in salon.
• Arrives fifteen (15) minutes prior to scheduled work time and may be required to stay fifteen (15) minutes later beyond work schedule if still with client.
• Presents a professional, fashionable, well-groomed appearance; clothing must be laundered and pressed.
• Works effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.  Listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others.  Keeping commitments.  Keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues.  Addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.  Addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier.

• Must have current valid Pennsylvania cosmetology license
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques and disposal methods.
